Τίτλος ομιλίας: Quantum Technologies: From NISQ to Megaquop – Decoding Quantum Slang
Abstract:
The past year has seen significant advancements in the development of quantum processors. In this talk, I will provide an overview of the theoretical and experimental progress in the field over the past few decades, highlighting key developments. I will then focus on the latest breakthroughs and developments in quantum technologies. Along the way, I will explain basic concepts and commonly used terms (or "slang") in the quantum computing field, enabling you to better understand the ongoing progress and its implications.
In addition to the main presentation, I will briefly introduce two courses offered at DI: a) Quantum Information and Computing and b) Quantum Machine Learning, and answer any related questions. Time permitting, I will share an overview of the research interests of our group, outlining our recent
results.
