ERASMUS+ is the European Commission's program for education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020 and has been in force since 1 January 2014. It has replaced all EU programs that cover all areas of education: the Lifelong Learning Program - Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius, Grundtvig, Tempus and others.
The following countries can participate in all ERASMUS+ actions:
- the 28 Member States of the European Union,
- the countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and
- Candidates for EU membership countries (Turkey & the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia).
Switzerland does not participate in ERASMUS+ as a Program country, but as a Partner country and will finance outbound and outbound mobility itself.
